England / Ireland / Dubai
Returned home from a wonderful holiday which started in London meeting my cousin from the US whom I hadn't seen for 10 years. We stayed at the Rydges Hotel Kensington, which was conveniently located to the Gloucester Road tube, bus stop right outside where the sightseeing buses also stopped, internet cafe opposite and loads of restaurants and shopping. Kensington Palace and Hyde Park just minutes away. Went to the theatre to see Chicago and a cruise on the Thames along with the hop on hop off sightseeing bus before
we flew to Manchester to take the train to Gobowen where we drove on to Ellesmere to the Blackwater Marina to take a narrowboat on the canals. After a very wobbly start we finally mastered the boat without wiping anyone out and travelled all the way up to Wales after crossing the huge aquaduct. The scenery was incredible! We stopped at the pubs along the way where we ate and had a pint or two.Photos are posted on my website
