Arizona
and the Grand Canyon
Sedona is a gorgeous town, I ended up buying an indian dream catcher which I love, here. The winding mountain trip to the canyon was spectacular, we saw our first real deer that nearly wiped out the vehicle, well that's a bit of an exaggeration but a bit like our roo's in that respect. The canyon was as bewitching as I expected it to be, no disappointments here! We spent the day taking so many photos just because every angle was different. The setting sun lit up the area with a golden glow that was magical to see. This was truly the best moment of my entire trip. The photos are in the gallery.
We were told it might be snowing when we got there but it was the most
perfect day, quite unbelievable. To see the Colorado river was an experience
to but where we crossed it at one point it didn't look so mighty that
day.
We
stayed in Scottsdale overnight and had the chance to step back in
time to the Wild Wild West in Arizona's largest western theme park. (Rides
and attractions are throughout the town. If shopping is your idea of fun,
you won't be disappointed with more than 15 shops. You can even buy a
rattler head for that special someone. Seasonal cookouts, a famous steak
house and a saloon are open too; be careful, the sheriff does not like
rowdies. Admission is free except for special events) but unfortunately
only one or two wanted to go so it ended up being a no go.
The Hoover dam experience held some awe also, the fact around 90 men died on the construction was incredible. The bridge crosses from Arizona to Nevada. Photo Gallery and postcards
