Links are provided for interested travellers, I hope you will enjoy the sites and it will entice you to see the sights! Setting a goal is the first step towards an unforgettable adventure. Starting a holiday bank account was the passport out for us and "kitty" served us well.

Our first trip was a three hour flight to Bali and it gave us the travel bug, not the tummybug, thank goodness, or we may never have ventured any further.Some of our flights have been 26 hours or more as we live 3 hours away from the remotest city on earth. So if we can do it, anybody can!

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

My friend doesn't travel much anymore so I have ventured out on my own but still apply the kitty rules so I can spend around a month in each country that I go to once a year. Although there are many places I would like to go back to, all in fact, I think there are too many other places yet to see and discover. For those women who want to try solo travelling, please don't hesitate, let common sense rule and you will have a wonderful time and meet some great people. There are many sites on the internet that give good advice for lone women travellers. Do your research and you can't go wrong. Of course one of the drawbacks is not having anyone tell you that you have toilet paper hanging out of your jeans, or something in your teeth!!
